SUMMER SOUND CHOIR CONCERT

We enjoyed the last of the summer vibes at our SUMMER SOUNDS Concert in the Secret Garden Center in Crystal Palace.

We performed our current repertoire as a choir and also had a few solo appearances from our talented and brave members!

We raised funds for our chosen cause for this event, OFF THE RECORD - a local charity providing free, independent and professional counselling for 14 to 25 year-olds in the Croydon area.

"Thriving not surviving" -

a motto we certainly support!

SELHURST COMMUNITY CELEBRATION

Sunday 14 July, 12 - 3pm

We LOVE supporting local events and communities, bringing the joy of song to people in our neighbourhood and contributing to a bigger cause. Such as this awesome little event organised by one of our members. Did you know that the once rather ugly and nondescript railway underpass here in Selhurst has recently been transformed into the most beautiful artwork? A project generated purely by an idea, by someone saying "can't we do something about making this a prettier space?". Thanks to everyone who came to see us perform here!

LA ALEGRIA DE LA MUSICA - THE JOY OF MUSIC
THE HIDDEN VOICES ON TOUR IN DAIMIEL, SPAIN

Saturday, 27 July

Press Release by Damiel Town Hall on 9 July 2019...

The 'Summer Nights' of the Regional Museum is flooded with music on the last Saturday of July and the first three of August in Daimiel. A cycle designed for "different audiences" with the intention of "entertaining" these summer nights where "you want to meet culture in other spaces".

This was highlighted by the Councilor of the area, Lourdes Rodríguez de Guzmán, who said that this proposal will start in the courtyard of the museum on July 27 with 'The Hidden Voices Choir', a choir of London voices and she "is very excited" with this appointment.

To this Choir Derek Carden and Roxie Lee will be added to form the show 'The Joy of Music'.

This action will also have a charitable nature because part of the collection will go to AFADAL (Association of Relatives of Alzheimer's patients of Daimiel).
